Pure style

Case Study

This kitchen design for a renovated home in Halswell involved thinking outside of the box. The existing U-shape kitchen was enclosed behind a wall between it and the dining area and meant that the only access to the dining area was through the kitchen.

The design brief was to redesign the space so the kitchen work area was not a main thoroughfare but still open and available to both the living and dining areas, it needed to be an entertainers area.  The solution was to remove the wall between and re-position the kitchen in a galley style against the long wall. This enabled access to the dining area from behind the island and opened the whole space up so it was much lighter and more friendly for entertaining.
